DEVYA Returns with Going to Town MKII: A Synth-Pop Manifesto Blending Retro Synthesis, Conceptual Vision, and Global Distribution

DEVYA sets one of its most recognizable trajectories back in motion with Going to Town MKII, a new release that revisits a track originally created years ago through a modern lens. Combining electronic music, emotional tension, and a conceptual vision, the project led by Devis Simonetti returns to forge a direct connection with the audience. A reinterpretation that looks forward In its new form, Going to Town MKII takes off from the original track released in 2013, choosing a different, more defined, and impactful direction. The rhythmic structure has been reimagined with new energy, becoming the driving engine of a track that focuses on impact without losing control. Built into this framework are explicitly 1980s arpeggiators, forming a vibrant and pulsating melodic design fully consistent with the project's synth-pop identity. Shaping the track's character is also a precise sonic choice. The production relies on the combined use of the Novation UltraNova and the legendary Roland D-50, instruments brought together in dialogue to deliver a warm, deep, and instantly recognizable timbre. Here, retro sensibility is not treated as a mere aesthetic reference, but as tangible raw material to be rethought for the present day—achieving a sound that binds analog memory and modern tension together without losing personality. A multi-channel distribution strategy The release takes shape in the Digital 45 format and relies on global distribution via RouteNote. An articulated promotional campaign has been organized around the single to ensure an extended and continuous presence. The plan involves radio broadcasters, web platforms, and TV channels, with an operational scope explicitly targeting Italy and Germany as the primary hubs for the media circulation of this release. At the core of the operation is the direction of DEVYA, a project led by Tuscan producer, composer, and entrepreneur Devis Simonetti. Simonetti is also identified as the CEO and founder of the record label White Dolphin Records and the startup RAMKARD Toys, both credited in the music launch. Alongside these references is the support of Neon Pixel News, within a framework that combines production, artistic vision, and organization under a clearly defined identity. A meaning beyond the musical form The momentum of the track, however, goes beyond its electronic construction. At its center lies an inner tension striving to touch upon something deeper: the hope for a better world and an authentically intense search for truth. For this reason, the piece takes on the profile of a true conceptual manifesto, where lyrics and atmosphere converge to create a space for reflection, inviting listeners to look beyond the immediate and question the meaning of their surroundings. Embedded within this vision is a reference to extraterrestrial phenomenology, interpreted as a metaphor for open-mindedness and the awakening of human consciousness. The journey evoked touches on pivotal dates in ufology: June 24, 1947, with Kenneth Arnold's sighting over Mount Rainier—the event that launched the "flying saucer" phenomenon; July 1947, marked by the Roswell incident; and finally the contemporary era, spanning documented US Navy sightings, including the Nimitz case, up to recent institutional disclosure processes. An already recognized journey in the independent scene The artistic path associated with this track had already left clear marks on the independent scene prior to this new version. In 2015, the track entered the MEI charts among the most broadcast pieces on independent networks, confirming significant airplay. Adding to this accomplishment was its inclusion in Digital Terrestrial TV On Demand programming and consistent presence on indie radio, elements that consolidated its visibility across diverse platforms. Reinforcing that trajectory were victories in several emerging music competitions and placement on various industry compilations. With this release, Devis Simonetti revisits that material and renews its purpose, offering the audience a work that merges content, technique, and passion. It is not merely the return of an existing title, but the reopening of an artistic dialogue seeking an audience with a clearer, more conscious voice. Link Track : White Dolphin Records
