"How To Save The Heart From A Monster Giant": Devya's New Single Explores Resilience and Hope
Lucca, June 16, 2025 – The independent music scene is preparing to welcome a work of profound meaning and unmistakable sound impact. Devya, artistic pseudonym of Devis Simonetti, is launching his single today, “How To Save The Heart From A Monster Giant”.
With the catalog number WDR N°46, the song was produced and recorded in the spaces of Ramkard Studio in Udine, and then published by White Dolphin Records and distributed globally by RouteNote.
A sonic and thematic journey into the most authentic Indie Rock. “How to save the heart from a monster giant” is an experience that transcends the simple musical track. It is a composition imbued with visceral indie rock, which is elevated thanks to a unique instrumental and stylistic combination. At the heart of the sound is the Fender baritone guitar, which with its deep and resonant frequencies creates an atmosphere full of tension and drama. To complete the soundscape, an innovative electronic base, masterfully woven through the Ipad 2 and the unmistakable, futuristic frequency modulations of the legendary Yamaha DX7. The result is an enveloping sound carpet, which captures the listener from the first, powerful notes. But the true strength of the single lies in its intrinsic message. Devya guides us through the narration of a "desperate heart" that faces and defeats a "giant monster".
This powerful allegory reveals its true essence in representing addictions of all kinds: a universal, intimate and at the same time scathing call to the need for a reaction, for an inner resilience. The song stands as a true anthem to hope, a vibrant encouragement to find the necessary strength to face one's personal battles and to embark on the path towards a better and more conscious life. It is an invitation not to give up, to fight for one's emotional and physical freedom.
Inspired Aesthetics, the revealing content, the visual identity of the single is equally significant. The cover, a work of art created by Cheyenne AI, pays homage to the iconic imagery of DC Comics.
This stylistic choice is not accidental: it adds a further narrative and visual layer, amplifying the sense of struggle and heroic redemption that permeates the song. The fusion between the power of music and the depth of an aesthetic inspired by the world of superheroes makes “How to save the heart from a monster giant” a complete work, capable of stimulating both hearing and imagination.
BIO : Devis Simonetti (aka Devya) is a multifaceted artist, press agent and Italian record producer who has been on the scene for several years. He presents himself on the electronic music market with a record with original sounds in 2013, certainly appreciable even outside the niche of lovers of the genre. The record label Audio Ferox / Paige is pleased to announce the release of “I don’t know what is Christmas”, Devya's debut album.
Raised in the post-punk scene of North-Eastern Italy, Devis Simonetti matured in the "new wave" London at the turn of the new millennium. And it is precisely in the land of Albion that he develops new synthesis techniques together with Lorenzo Bertoli and Roberto Concina (Robert Miles) and sampling to dedicate himself to self-production.
The sound of “I don’t know what is Christmas”, played and produced entirely by Devis Simonetti, absorbs and re-elaborates elements of Anglo-Saxon style, such as Brit-pop, industrial and shoegaze. In the 12 composed tracks, which describe the mechanics of love, the distortions of electric bass lines of “Is all 4”, the post punk taste of “The Fly” and the riff with the analog delay of “We are together” meet and woo. The leading synth-pop single is “Going To Town”, which entered the MEI 2015 chart and won several international radio competitions, where the work is intertwined with the triangulation of the guitar, the bass line and the synthesizers. To close the album, the echoed guitars of “The Last Rain”, which pour down in the liberating rain of the end of a wearing relationship. Reaches a discography of 50 releases.
Simonetti Devis founded his record label White Dolphin Records in "lucchesia" in 2020 and the Ramkard Music research and development studio in Udine in 2007, now called Ramkard Toys in Lucca.
For those wishing to fully immerse themselves in the sound world of White Dolphin Records, it is possible to access the entire digital discography. The single is available for purchase and streaming on Bandcamp and on all music streaming platforms distributed by Routenote.
